Absolutely brilliant, the negatives are the water pressure, the rain is more powerful than the shower! However the place is amazing, the food is superb, but the best thing is the service, Stacey is an absolutely star! Very attentive, absolutely brilliant definitely can't fault her on anything! Especially making Jack & Cokes the staff are very happy and professional. I would highly recommend this place!
Howfield manor hosted our wedding and they did a fantastic job. The food was fabulous and the service from the whole team was five star. If you are looking for a wedding venue, Howfield Manor should be on your list of venues to review
We had tea and scones. All very nice and the scones were warm. Service perfect. May go for Afternoon Tea another time
Location is kinda isolated from things, so that's nice. Unless you want to be in walking distance to town. There is food, drinks, a "bar," & a restaurant on site. The age of the facility and the layout is fascinating. However, the decor could use some work to make the facility "shine" showing the beauty of it's age. And the service offered at the bar was minimal (at best). But the room & facility was clean and pleasant.
It is a lovely place. The staff is really helpfull and great. The room was great also. Breakfast too. And it is not that expensive either. I was really tired and I didnt walk around that much. Beds were great. If I come in this area I would surely to this place. Thanks for the warm welcome
Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. Our room was a bit dated but didn't lack facilities. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. The food is amazing. The hotel is a 5 min drive to the park and ride £4 all day bargain and a 5 min ride into the city ..will recommend and use again.
We were visiting Canterbury and found Howfield Manor and an excellent find it was too. Slightly off the beaten track, a couple of miles from Canterbury, this old manor house is beautifully situated in its own grounds that are stunning. The hotel itself is well appointed with well furnished rooms. The food in the restaurant was really good and not overly expensive (as in some hotels), the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superb. So, if you’re planning a trip to Canterbury, I'd really recommend a visit to this place. You really won't regret it.
Went for afternoon tea - 9 adults and 2 baby/toddlers - it was a magical experience with a lovely decorated table with crackers , plenty of tea and an astonishing number of sandwiches, both meat and vegetarian , all very well made - in fact we voted the sandwiches the best we had ever had at an afternoon tea - there were large numbers of scones and cakes - we took 6 boxes home !! All of it was well presented , the staff were lovely and all our party thoroughly enjoyed it . A hidden gem , in our opinion - and well worth a return journey - our party included visitors from Dubai and Germany and they will go home with some very good memories - try it , you won’t be disappointed . As to costs - less than £30 per adult seemed very fair .
